Skipton and Craven Action for
Disability (Known as Scad ) is open to all people with disabilities in the
Craven area. Our aims are:

to enhance
quality of life for people with disabilities
·
to help
with access to mainstream activities
·
to
campaign at local, county and national level on disability issues
·
to offer
financial support in approved cases
In order to fulfil our aims we
undertake various activities:

canal boat trips
· trips and outings

As a voluntary organisation, Scad is run by volunteers and we
are reliant on volunteers for all our activities.
Scad is funded from various sources: income from
our charity shop, donations from the general public and local business, North
Yorkshire Social Services, the Countryside Agency and the National Lottery Charities Board.
